Got a Great Grommet Idea? Enter Our Summer Solutions Contest
It’s almost Memorial Day, the traditional kickoff of summer. And in honor of the arrival of all things warm and wonderful, we’re excited to announce our first-ever “Got a Great Grommet Idea?” contest.
We’re always (and we mean always) looking for new Grommet ideas to share with our community. As you know, our story is really simple…because it’s not about us. It’s about finding really fresh products and telling their stories. Those products, their creators, and the people who love them (the products, that is) are the real heroes at Daily Grommet. This is your chance to be one of our heroes!
Just tell us about a summer product you love — or a product that solves a summertime problem — and we’ll pick our favorite idea. The winner will receive two of our most popular Grommets: an MnM Jada Millefiorie Belt (ARV $45) and a Luxe Link Purse Hook (ARV $35) for a Grommet prize package worth $80. We’ll announce the winner right here (we’ll email you, too) — and if we decide to feature it, you’ll be part of the story we tell right here on our blog.

How to enter:
- Post a comment right here (by this blog post) with your favorite Grommet idea and a link to a site where we can check it out (to qualify, the product must be available for purchase online).
- Tell us what you love about this product and why you think it would make a great Grommet.
- Post your comment by 12 a.m. Midnight EST June 12, 2009.
- You may submit as many ideas as you’d like – and each submission will earn you one entry into our contest - but please write a new comment for each Grommet idea.
To help you out a bit, here are some product categories that we’re especially interested in this summer: health and beauty, seasonal solutions, kitchen items that you can’t live without, fun summer accessories and great outdoor products for your lawn and garden.

During the summer, I go to lots of parties, BBQs, and pot lucks and never have to worry about getting my plates back. This is because I put the food on a Pass It On Plate, which is meant to travel from person to person. http://www.passitonplates.com/index.htm
It’s a great hostess gift that always gets a lot of attention. Each plate has a unique tracking number on the back, which is for that plate’s online diary.
